The conservation of natural resources through small environmental projects
The project contributes to conserving the natural resources in the area, by increasing sustainable land management practices, rainwater harvesting, and environmental awareness among the local community.
Project Specific Objectives:
- Conserving the natural resources, along with improving the livelihood and living conditions of the local community, by using a circulating fund that is given to help initiate water conservation and sustainable land projects.
- Enhance the awareness of the local community about water harvesting practices.
- Enhance the status of the local community through upgrading their skills and income, which will later be connected to activities already functioning in the society.

Project Characteristics and Results
Replication of project activities
A joint coordination towards the implementation of the project activities, and providing technical assistance in different fields will be offered by the socio-economic project/Wild Jordan and the Ajloun Nature Reserve.
Notable Community Participation
Al Yanabeeh cooperative is situated in the Anjara area to the south eastern side of the Ajloun governorate and the Ajloun Nature Reserve, which occupies 30 thousand people. The cooperative was established in 2002 with 154 members to date of which 40% are women.
The cooperative concentrates on helping the local community by creating small projects that help unfortunate families with income and help fight poverty in the area. Capacity building and skill improvement are also targeted, where awareness programs are held to the local community to help increase environmental and social awareness.
