Support to the UNDP SGP Malindi Bio-Fuel Cluster Project (Jatropha Farming)
This project takes over from the Coast Vanilla Jatropher Environmental Initiative (CVJEI), which had originally been given a grant of USD 49.914. However, CVJEI was unable to account for the funds it received, and the SGP stopped funding. the remianing funds were awarded to CISP to continue and complete the activities of CVJEI.
Teh remaining activities were:
1) Training on jatropha seed planting
2) Harvesting and processing of jatropha seeds
3) Promote the use of jatropha bio-oil for lighting through the provision of lamps and cookers provided by SGP.
