Water Harvesting and the Conservation of Roomi Olive Trees in Tubnah Area
This project will aim at increasing the awareness of the local community on collecting rain water and using it to preserve and conserve the old Roomi olive trees in the Tubnah area.

Project activities will help in:
- Increasing the local community’s awareness on preserving rainwater and using it.

- Increasing the local community’s awareness on conserving the old roomi trees in the area and preserving it.

- Improving the local community’s rain water harvesting systems.

- Improving the living conditions of the local community through supporting small income generating projects through a revolving fund.

- Enhancing and upgrading the skills of the society technically, finically and managerial.

The Society will use the revolving fund approach to manage and sustain the income generating activities, thereby allowing project activities to continue beyond the funding period of the project.
Notable Community Participation
The Tubnah charity society has been operational since 1982 in helping the local community by improving their livelihood, caring for women’s needs and providing awareness to the local community. The Society has been cooperating with the Tubnah Women Cooperative in implementing SGP supported projects in the past.
