Conservation of Natural Plant Cover: Herbal Plants
This project is aimed at increasing and promoting sustainable land management practices, environmental and socio-economic status of the local community, and better creating environmental management. This will be made possible by environmental awareness campaigns, and planting medical plants in home gardens. Produced plants will be marketed in order to provide a new source of income by new marketing channels (fair trade).

The project will be focusing on establishing a revolving fund for loans, that will project beneficiaries in order to plant medicinal plants in home gardens.Creating environmental awareness through workshops and training courses and providing new sources of income for rural families.

Inovative Financial Mechanisms
The cooperative will use the revolving loaning system, whereby the cooperative supported the purchase of a certain number of goats per family, the paybacks and return of some of the newborn goats at the end of the season are used to benefit other families in the community also regarding the medical plants products, the marketing agreements with the bazaars and the tourist shops will ensure a marketing channel for the product and feedback from shop owners and tourists will serve to improve the product.
Project sustainability
The project will provide the loans to the qualified beneficiaries who fit the set criteria, and who have a good history of repaying loans. The awareness workshops in addition to the new source of income from the project will help protect the rangelands from degradation. The marketing agreements with the Bazaars and the tourist shops will ensure a marketing channel for the product, and feedback from shop owners and tourists will serve to improve the product.
