Project Characteristics and Results
Project sustainability
By supporting small projects on the local community level that use available environmental resources, this project will be able to collect rain water for optimal use in irrigation of farms and productive home gardens, and maintain available water sources in the area. It will also allow for the improvement of farmers' income and improve land productivity. The cooperative will implement this project using the revolving loan mechanism, such that pay-back will be used to support other initiatives in the local community. This will ensure sustainability of project activities and broadening of project beneficiary base.
Inovative Financial Mechanisms
Revolving loan mechanism is used by the cooperative to broaden the beneficiary base and sustain project activities for the longest time possible.
