Ecotourism is a form of generation of income which preserves natural environments. In the Monte Alegre region, where tourism is still on the rise, the goal is to have it promoted by the community itself, in a sustainable manner
Notable Community Participation
capacity-building activities are planned for young community members, as well as creation of a Community-based Ecotourism Cooperative in Lages, to receive visitors and generate income.
