COMMUNITY MANGROVE REHABILITATION PROGRAMME
The Project involves an extensive community-led mangrove rehabilitation programme involving the establishment of community nursery, propagation and replanting of selected species of mangroves along shorelines of two communities of Western Viti Levu. The conservation programme also involves capacity building and empowerment of the target communities in mangrove conservation and biodiversity conservation initiatives in general and viable alternative livelihood strategies.
