Revolving fund mechanism will be used in the livelihood activities.

The Ajloun reserve intervention in the project will focus on raising public awareness in the importance of preserving significant forestland and biodiversity of the area connecting that to the environmental issues concerned.

The Society will use the revolving fund approach to manage the income generating activities, thereby allowing sustainable project activities to continue beyond the funding period of the project.

The Society, which is mainly managed by men was supported by a women cooperative in the village, which previously implemented a similar project in the same area. Both CBOs are cooperating to meet the needs of their community in accordance with the project objectives.

The project aims at influencing the control of land degradation of soil erosion affecting agricultural productivity in a forest area located in an arid to semi-arid ecosystem of the Mediterranean area. It will also simultaneously improve the land productivity and community livelihood. Its specific objectives are: - To improve the agricultural production of farmers with the help of training workshops on agricultural diseases affecting olive trees in cooperation with the directorate of Agriculture. - To organize workshops on irrigation techniques, agricultural production, sustainable agricultural approaches, olive oil production/handling and farmer training. - To raise awareness of the local community of the local community of Tubnah in the field of conserving forest trees and environmental protection. This will target the local community in Ajloun reserve and schools. - To improve the living conditions of Tubnah community through supporting small income generating projects using a revolving loaning system. - To build the capacities of the NGO technically, administratively and financially.

The project will conduct training activities in cooperation with the Ajloun reserve, in order to build the capacities of the CBOs members and other community members.
