En la region del altiplano central de la provincia Aroma del departamento de La Paz, a orillas del rÃo Desaguadero, existen áreas afectadas por una creciente salinización de suelos a causa de deficiencias en las condiciones de drenaje, agravadas ( ... )
aplicación del riego parcelario, que deviene en la paulatina desertificación de la zona. Enfrentando esta problemática, el proyecto ha logrado produndizar los estudios y las técnicas reproductivas y de plantación del k´auchi; una especie de la biodiversidad nativa y altiplánica de alto potencial forrajero y gran adaptabilidad a condiciones de alta salinidad, sequia y bajas temperaturas.
